Irava is free to browse. Creating an account lets you contribute stories and save articles. Please provide accurate account information and keep your login details private.

Contribution guidelines

Every submission is reviewed by an editor before appearing publicly. We accept respectful, well-sourced writing about traditions, festivals, languages, heritage, and cultural history.

• Be respectful. Write about cultures — including your own — with care. Avoid stereotypes and generalizations.
• Be accurate. Cite sources where you can. If you're unsure, say so.
• Be original. Only submit work you have the right to share. Do not paste in copyrighted text.
• No harmful content. Hate speech, harassment, misinformation, or sexual content will be rejected and may result in an account being removed.

Editorial review

Editors may edit submissions for clarity, length, or accuracy before publishing, and may decline to publish a submission without reason. Contributors are always credited by the name they provide.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the stories you submit. By submitting, you grant Irava a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish and display your contribution on the site with your credit. You can request removal of your contribution at any time.

AI guide

The AI cultural guide is an assistive tool. Its answers are generated from language models and may occasionally be incomplete. Treat it as a starting point for learning, not the final word.
